Eight(ish) challenges in (Bayesian) phylodynamics, 11 years later, revisiting Frost et al. (2015)
In 2015, Simon Frost et al. wrote a great paper on the state of phylodynamics, highlighting outstanding challenges in the field. I thought it might be fun, and maybe even a bit informative, to revisit that list and think about what progress we’ve made as a field since then.
This talk was the result, I presented it at UCI on 2026-04-13. My conclusion is that, as one might hope, we’ve made some good progress, but as one might expect, we are far from solving everything.
